Transitioning to a
driven organization

Genius Empowered Teams believes in harnessing the innate abilities of People to drive success. Our approach is to use the model of the 6 Types of Working Genius, based on a best-selling book by Patrick Lencioni and the Table Group.

As a Certified Working Genius Facilitator, Lisa has successfully participated in hands-on training with the Table Group team and is equipped with the tools and resources to help leaders leverage the Working Genius model with individuals, teams, and organizations.  Whether it be one-on-one sessions, workshops, retreats, or a variety of these, Lisa will work with you to design what’s best for you.

The Working Genius model breaks down every project, whether it involves orchestrating a massive IT implementation or conceptualizing and completing a new addition for your home or business, into 6 distinct “Genius” steps.

A $25/pp assessment is incorporated into the program, which helps to highlight the specific phases within a project that ignite life and exuberance in your People as well as specific phases in a process that may deplete energy and precipitate burnout. Delving into each Genius also sheds light on how judgment, guilt, and so much more can independently play a role in affecting a team’s morale and have a significant influence on productivity. This training is invaluable for optimal relationships and can be applied to any type of work.

“If you want to be successful and fulfilled in your work,
you must tap into your gifts. That can’t happen
if you don’t know what those gifts are.”

-Patrick Lencioni

Empowering People with insight into their unique gifts, as well as areas of general competency and energy-depleting frustrations brings about a self-awareness most never achieve, giving People the self-confidence to lean into their strengths.

We’ve chosen this model over others because we feel it has the most practical nuances that prove invaluable to individuals at home or within an organization, bringing about an energy-infused team that provides exceptional Service, both within an organization and to external clientele.

Research underscores the significance of focusing on your strengths rather than your weaknesses for a person’s overall health and well-being.

A recent Harvard Business Review article highlights Gallup’s extensive studies spanning over five decades, affirming that cultivating innate strengths yields greater potential than attempting to rectify weaknesses. The article goes on to outline compelling data, showcasing tangible benefits achieved when prioritizing the strengths of your People, leading to exceptional Service, and thereby driving Profits.

  • 10%-19% increase in sales
  • 14%-29% increase in profit
  • 3%-7% increase in customer engagement
  • 9%-15% increase in employee engagement
  • 6-16% decrease in turnover (in low-turnover organizations)
  • 26-72% decrease in turnover (in high-turnover organizations)
  • 22-59% decrease in safety incidents

“When employees are rewarded for putting themselves
ahead of colleagues and customers,
it fuels greed and dysfunctional competition.”

– Robert Sutton and Ben Wigert

Taking the empowerment of your People one step further, Genius Empowered Teams advocates for the contemporary shift away from scored, annual performance reviews/appraisals.

These traditional performance management systems are not only seen as outdated, but feedback often comes from the manager’s perspective, offering advice on improvement based on the manager’s approach versus being tailored to the unique strengths and development needs of each employee.

We recommend using a more dynamic strength-based leadership development process that can be tailored to your organization’s values where employees are encouraged to leverage their strengths and support each other’s growth.

This approach empowers employees to take ownership of their growth and development, leading to increased confidence, motivation, collaboration, and a sense of purpose in their work.

Aligning and developing employees’ strengths with the company’s values inevitably creates a higher-performing, value-driven team.
